Moong Dal Pizza
Ingredients
30g moong dal (soaked 2 hours)
2 tbsp curd (optional, improves texture)
1 small onion, finely chopped
1 small tomato, finely chopped (no seeds)
½ capsicum, finely chopped
1 green chilli, chopped (optional)
½ tsp mixed herbs
½ tsp chilli flakes
Salt to taste
1 tsp ghee/olive oil for cooking
Method
Make the batter:
Blend soaked moong dal with salt and 2–3 tbsp water into a smooth, thick batter.
Mix in herbs and chilli flakes.
Cook the base:
Heat a non-stick pan → add a few drops of oil.
Pour the batter and spread like a small thick pancake (mini pizza base).
Cook on medium flame until one side turns golden. Flip.
Add toppings:
Spread a thin layer of curd (optional).
Add onion, tomato, capsicum, and green chilli.
Press gently so veggies stick.
Final cook:
Cover and cook on low flame for 3–4 minutes until veggies soften and base becomes crisp.
Serve hot with mint chutney or hang curd dip.
